You can sign in to the student dashboard with your Google account. When you do, Google shares with us only the basic profile information covered by the "openid", "email" and "profile" permissions:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google profile picture
- A unique Google account identifier
We use this information only to create and secure your student account, to recognise you when you sign in, to match you to your course enrollment, and to show your name and picture in your dashboard and on certificates you earn.
We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service, and we never see your Google password. We store this information in our authentication database with the service providers listed below, and we do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the providers who operate the Platform for us.
Realcode Synapse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
You can remove our access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have the Google account information we hold deleted, email contact@realcodesynapse.com; we delete it together with your account as described under "Data Retention".
How We Use Your Information
We use personal data for these purposes:
- To answer course inquiries and contact you about admissions, demo classes, schedules and batches
- To create and run your student account and give you access to your courses
- To track your progress, grade quizzes and assignments, and give you feedback
- To provide AI study tools you choose to use
- To issue certificates and let others verify a certificate you share
- To send service emails such as sign-in links, enrollment confirmations, receipts and important notices
- To keep the Platform secure, prevent misuse and fix problems
- To improve our courses, content and Platform
- To comply with our legal obligations
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit an inquiry, enroll or sign in, and for certain legitimate uses permitted under Section 7 of the DPDP Act, such as complying with law. We will not use your data for a new, unrelated purpose without telling you and, where required, asking for your consent.
AI-Powered Learning Features
Some Platform features use artificial intelligence: the AI tutor, generated quizzes and flashcards, and AI-assisted feedback on assignments. When you use them, the text you enter and the relevant course or assignment content are sent to an AI model provider to produce a response.
- Features we run use Google's Gemini models through Google Cloud (Vertex AI), processed in Google's Mumbai (asia-south1) region where available, and may use model-routing services that forward a request to the model selected.
- If you add your own AI provider key (for example, an OpenRouter key), your requests go to that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Your key is encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know; we store only the encrypted form and cannot read it.
- We do not use your data to train AI models, and where a provider lets us choose, we opt out of it using your content for training.
AI output can be wrong. AI-generated feedback and scores support your learning; you may ask your instructor to review any AI-generated result that affects you.
Communication Consent
By submitting your contact details, you consent to Realcode Synapse contacting you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about courses, admissions, schedules, offers and institute updates.
You can stop promotional messages at any time by emailing contact@realcodesynapse.com or telling us when we contact you. We will still send service messages needed to run your account, such as sign-in links and enrollment notices.
Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers (Data Processors) who operate the Platform for us, under contract and only for that purpose:
- Supabase: database, user authentication and file storage
- Google Cloud and Firebase (Google LLC): website hosting, application servers, course content storage, background task processing and AI models
- Google: sign-in with Google
- Zoho ZeptoMail (Zoho Corporation): delivery of service emails
- The AI model providers described in "AI-Powered Learning Features"
Your instructors and authorised Realcode Synapse staff can see your enrollment details, progress and submissions in order to teach and support you. We may also disclose data if required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our students, staff or the public.
We do not process payments online. Course fees are handled directly with the institute.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Our service providers store and process data on servers that may be located in India or in other countries, including Japan and the United States. We transfer personal data outside India only as permitted under Section 16 of the DPDP Act, and not to any country the Government of India has restricted.
Cookies and Browser Storage
We use cookies and browser storage (local storage) that are necessary for the Platform to work: to keep you signed in, remember your theme and display preferences, and protect against misuse. We do not use advertising cookies and do not show third-party advertisements.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but you will then need to sign in again and some features may not work. If we introduce analytics, we will update this policy first.
Data Security
We protect personal data with reasonable security safeguards, as required by the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest by our hosting providers, database access rules that let each student see only their own records, role-based access for staff, and access logging.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act and the rules made under it.
Data Retention
- Inquiries: kept while we are in conversation with you and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you enroll or ask us to delete them sooner.
- Student accounts and learning records: kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to complete your course and support you afterwards.
- Certificate records: the minimum details needed to verify a certificate we issued are kept so that it can still be verified, unless you ask us to remove them.
- Security and access logs: kept for at least one year, or longer where the law requires.
When data is no longer needed for these purposes, or when you withdraw consent and no law requires us to keep it, we delete or anonymise it.
Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data
- Have your data erased, unless we must keep it by law
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it; this does not affect processing already done
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
- Have your grievances redressed by our Grievance Officer, and then by the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise any right, email contact@realcodesynapse.com from the email address linked to your account, or contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Children's Privacy

Under the DPDP Act, we process the personal data of a child (a person under 18) only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, which we obtain at admission. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, correct or delete their child's data or withdraw consent.
We do not track or monitor the behaviour of children for advertising and do not direct targeted advertising at them.
